Kid Chef Pear and Baby Greens Salad

IMG_2574

When kids grow an organic container salad garden, they can have fresh baby greens all year round, by consecutive plantings. Kids can pick the outer leaves as needed while the plant continues to grow. Kids can make a delicious salad by picking a variety of tender salad greens and cutting sprigs of fresh cilantro, dill, and parsley. Kids can wash the greens and herbs in a salad drier which is a round plastic bowl with a lid that allows water to enter, spins the leaves clean, and then spins the leaves dry. On a small plate, kids can mix finely cut herbs, organic extra virgin olive oil, fresh squeezed organic lemon juice, and sea salt with the salad greens. To make the salad irresistible, slice ½ ripe organic pear per plate and sprinkle dried fruit and sunflower seeds on top of the salad.
