Secret Mystery of Food Today

IMG_0850

Kids are what they eat. Every bite either harms us or helps us. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization health statistics suggest that we are killing ourselves with processed, fake, refined pseudo foods, filled with chemicals and hormones. Healthcare costs can be cut up to 80% by proper nutrition with a simple organic whole food diet. However, nutrition is not supported by physicians as a primary therapy. Huge money and power from the food industry enable dietary guidelines to be based on financial interests. “Natural” can appear legally on labels of foods processed with any of hundreds of additives. Healthcare education, nutrition conferences, and continuing education courses for physicians are sponsored by food companies, fast food chains, and big pharmaceutical companies. Many scientific studies are financed by pharmaceutical companies designed to sell their drugs. Kids that grow their own organic fruit and veggie garden can save the planet one garden at a time. Fruit, veggies, and herbs can be grown in containers in urban gardens everywhere. The number one strategy for being healthy is for kids to learn to cook from scratch from the produce they grow. Cooking from scratch is easier than the commercials for packaged foods suggest. Kids often eat the sweet veggies at their most delicious and nutritious state while standing in the garden. The huge bonus side effect of eating from scratch is the adaptation of the taste buds from craving processed foods to enjoying and preferring in just a few weeks fresh from the garden organic whole foods. Life-saving phytochemicals, fibers, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants are readily available for kids in the garden in the form of fresh whole organic fruits, veggies, and herbs.
