Kid Chef Organic Tomato Rice


Kids can make Organic Tomato Rice to serve with burritos for a delicious family meal. Rice is the main dietary staple for over half the world’s population. Kids can switch to whole grain brown rice that has not been processed to remove the bran, germ, and endosperm of the grain, along with most of the nutrients, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Organic brown rice tastes delicious and is free of herbicides, pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and genetically modified organisms. Kids can cook 1 cup organic brown rice for 50 minutes. Steam 2 chopped organic carrots, 1 small stick chopped organic celery, 2 slices chopped organic red onion, ¼ chopped organic green bell pepper, 1 minced organic garlic clove, and ½ cup organic baby spinach. Add 4 oz can organic tomato paste to the rice with ½ tsp sea salt, 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/8 tsp cumin, and sprigs of fresh from the garden basil, oregano, thyme, sage, and rosemary cut finely. Mix in the veggies and serve.
