Kids Super Fruits


Kids love to walk outside their kitchen door to pick juicy organic fruit from the tree or bush, enjoying a quick nutritious snack. Many of the labeled Super Foods are organic fruit trees and berry bushes that kids can grow in a container on the patio. Because of their high levels of antioxidants, vitamins, and nutrients, they are nature packed for the perfect energy rich, on the go snacks for kids. Organic blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries are native to North America, are perennials, and few pests or diseases affect them. They are super foods, high in antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, can sweep away free radicals, are antibacterial, and are heart and brain healthy.  Almost all organic fruit trees can be bought grown on dwarfing rootstocks, and produce well in a large container in a small area. Pears are easy to digest, are rich in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory nutrients, fiber, and phytonutrients that help prevent many chronic diseases, and are good for those with food allergies.  Kids can eat the skin of an organic apple as the apple skin contains a powerful antioxidant that protects brain cells and lowers cholesterol.  Citrus fruits grow well in containers that can be protected in cold winters. Kids like a quart of pure water with one lime juiced and a sprig of mint for a refreshing drink minus the sugar. Kids can plant several organic fruit trees in a raised bed garden to provide the perfect soil, circling the trees with a drip hose for the best watering, and covering the area with bird netting.
