Kids Organic Superfoods

Superfoods are healthy foods that are nutrient dense, jam packed with vitamins, minerals, protein, fiber, healthy fats, and phytonutrients. When kids eat a rainbow of brightly colored organic fruits and veggies that they have grown in their raised bed veggie garden, they obtain a broad variety of nutrients as each vivid color is a different spectrum of photochemicals and antioxidants. These superfoods are the magic secret for all around health and kids want to eat what they grow.

Organic raw seeds and nuts add protein, healthy fats, fiber, vitamins and are easy to sprinkle a nutrient punch on any meal. Organic dried beans and whole grains are superfoods rich in protein, vitamins, and fiber. Creating meals with these nutritional powerhouses, kids can add fresh herbs and spices that offer aromatic flavors and a host of phytonutrients with antioxidant properties. Antioxidants are molecular scavengers that find and neutralize free radicals that can damage our cells and DNA.

Local seasonal organic produce has more nutrients, no poisons or GMOs, and kids can eat the skins of organic fruits and veggies which contain a concentration of benefits. The closer a food is to having been harvested the more powerful its content of textures and nutrients, making it more delicious and more effective in combating disease and improving the health and wellbeing of the family.
