Kid Chef Avocado Toast

Avocado Toast is sweeping the country as a delicious healthy breakfast treat and snack. Avocados are a low carb, nutrient dense food with heart healthy fat. To make this toast a powerhouse of energy, kids can spread organic hummus on the toast before laying slices of avocado on top. Hummus is an excellent source of protein and is good for the digestion. Kids can start with organic whole grain bread with seeds and pop it in the toaster. Kids can make their own hummus in the blender with organic cooked chickpeas, 4 tbsp organic extra virgin olive oil, ½ teaspoons cumin, 2 tablespoons tahini, a garlic clove, 4 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon, ½ teaspoon curry powder, and ¾ teaspoon sea salt blended until smooth and creamy. Top the toast with slices of avocado, sea salt, and cilantro leaves fresh from the garden. Kids love this yummy bite any time of day.
