
All in one bowl meals, popular in high end restaurants and local food trucks, are easy to create at home with organic garden fresh veggies, rice, and beans. When kids grow an organic veggie garden, they have access to the healthiest food on the planet. Organic whole grain brown rice and organic beans are a perfect protein. Adding colorful organic veggies fresh from the garden makes this dish a nutrition power bowl.
Kids can cook ½ cup organic brown rice for 50 minutes. In a steamer, kids can steam 2 cups organic butternut squash, 1 cup chopped organic tomatoes, ¼ cup chopped organic red onion, ¼ cup chopped organic bell pepper, ¼ cup chopped Swiss chard, and 1 minced garlic clove. Fluff the cooked rice and add the steamed veggies to the pot. Add ½ cup organic garbanzo beans,1 tbsp organic extra virgin olive oil, 1 tbsp mixed minced fresh herbs ( basil, rosemary, thyme, sage, and oregano), and ½ tsp sea salt and mix well. Kids can enjoy this bowl for lunch or dinner or wrap it in an organic whole wheat tortilla and take it with them.
