Kids Pizza Muffins

Kids can make pizza muffins for a delicious and nutritious snack easily and quickly. Organic whole wheat or multigrain English muffins can be cut in half. Top each muffin half with three slices of organic Roma tomato, fresh cut basil leaves, and a sliced mozzarella cheese stick and pop it in the oven at 350 degrees and bake until the cheese has melted about five minutes. This is especially yummy if kids have a veggie garden patch where they are growing fresh tomatoes and basil. Kids can use other types of bread, like French bread, Indian Naan flatbread, bagel, or Italian Focaccia bread, tomato sauce instead of tomatoes, and slice or grate any cheese available. Even at a young age, kids can pop a muffin pizza in a toaster oven and feel the joy of preparing a yummy snack.
